The FOG Boston Shark Tank will empower 5 exceptional founders and scientists at the earliest part of their entrepreneurial journey by providing an opportunity to pitch live on The Main Stage at The Festival of Genomics & Biodata.
The FOG Boston Shark Tank will consist of five pitches, each of which is four minutes long. The winner will be announced on the Main Stage just before the closing keynote.
The FOG Shark Tank is a pitch competition designed to highlight cutting-edge technologies, products, and services in genomics, other omics and biodata. The event will feature entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators who will pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges. These judges, experts in genomics, biodata, and entrepreneurship, will provide valuable feedback, making this a promising opportunity to usher in the next evolution of technologies.

Format and Timelines
The FOG Shark Tank will take place on the 2nd day of The Festival of Genomics & Biodata, making for a start-up and investment-themed morning that will include an investor roundtable and meet the investor lunch & learn for entrepreneurs to use to sharpen their pitch.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday May 8th, 2024

Participation Criteria
- Any early-stage Biotech startup enabling patient outcomes through genomics, omics or biodata.
- Or a scientist / PhD Student who is working on establishing a start-up or who has an idea they would like to take forward.
- The company must be less than 4 years old.
- The company must have raised less than $2M in venture capital funding.
- You don’t need to be an incorporated company to apply but you will need to be to get funded.
- The startups and founders need to be located in the USA or Canada.
You must be able to attend in-person on Thursday, June 13th 2024 and you must also have a valid ticket to attend The Festival.
